Has anyone ever told you before that a calorie log/food journal is a good idea? Well, I’m here to tell you AGAIN THAT IT IS!
In 2008, a study conducted with 1,700 participants showed that people who log or track calories were the bigger weight losers. According to Jack Hollis Ph.D., a researcher at Kaiser Permanente "Those who kept daily food records lost twice as much weight as those who kept no records. It seems that the simple act of writing down what you eat encourages people to consume fewer calories."
