Spring Challenge

by Megan

We’re kicking off a fitness challenge at work and I’m so grateful because it’s motivating me to move more throughout the day. After having our son, my husband and I are still figuring out how to get back into our running routine. I’m aiming for 8,000 to 10,000 steps daily for this challenge so even if I’m only running three times a week, I’m still getting in some physical activity. I’ll invite you to challenge yourself this month, and it doesn’t have to be with your steps! Here are some other ideas:

  • Meditate daily
  • Keep the TV (and Netflix) off in your house
  • Incorporate vegetables at every meal
  • Stretch before bed every evening
  • Pack/make your own lunch every day
  • If you are keeping track of daily steps and you think 10,000 is too much right now, try adding in 300 a day until you get to your goal

Is there a habit you can work on with your family? I know I could increase my walking by myself but it’s more fun to do so with my family, they will also help me stick with my goal when I’m not feeling very motivated.

So what’s it going to be? What are your goals for this month?
