Christmas comes but once a year! Before the holidays, my parents were constantly asking me what gift I would like for Christmas. This year one gift idea popped into my mind – Yak Trax!
Yak Trax, otherwise known as crampons, are a great tool to help stay safe while walking or running in icy conditions. These gripping shoe covers allow the user to wear their regular shoes or boots, but with added traction for the lovely Wisconsin winters. There are different types of crampons for different uses – some are more suitable for hiking and some are for basic walking or running. Myself and a few of the other coaches have various versions of these and love them!
With all that said, don’t let the weather stop you from being active. Bundle up appropriately and if you find that conditions may be slippery, give some Yak Trax a try!
