The Eau Claire Marathon weekend is upon us! Whether you are getting ready to lace up on race day, or preparing to cheer on your favorite runners, race weekend is sure to be a blast!
The fun kicks off on Saturday May 4th with the marathon expo located at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire McPhee Center. The expo is where all runners can get their bibs for the race, but it's also a fun opportunity to check out the vendors. They will have everything from the popular podcast and running community geared towards moms, Another Mother Runner, to N7 Cafe, to Scheels. The expo is also a great time to purchase some of the awesome Eau Claire Marathon Apparel.
Cheri Uelmen's Fantastically Fun Kid's run is Saturday May 4th. This is a fun run for kids ages 2-10 with obstacles for the kiddos. They even have a diaper dash for kids ages 0-2. They can run, walk or crawl a short distance on the indoor track at McPhee.
The marathoners will take off bright and early at 7:30 AM on Sunday, May 5th, followed by the half marathon and 5k at 9:15 and 9:30, respectively. If you are running any of these fantastic races, check out the Eau Claire Marathon website for any details you may need for race weekend!

The finish line has something for everyone! They will have food trucks galore with 10% of all proceeds from food truck sales going to Make-A-Wish. All runners will receive a free beer or root beer at the finish line. There will also be a kid zone for the little ones, featuring bouncy houses, face painters, balloon fun and much more.
Whether you are running or spectating, marathon weekend is one of the best weekends around. Have a safe and fun time!
