Fall-Friendly Activities

by Sarah

Fall is underway! The changing of colors, weather, and outdoor activities all make fall so great! Even if you have missed some of the fun summer activities, you still have many opportunities to have some fun this fall. Here are a few activities that can help you enjoy the change of season:

Go apple picking or check out the local farmers market

Visit a nearby apple orchard to pick your very own tasty treats for snacking or baking. Also, remember that farmers markets continue to sell local fall produce typically through the end of October. Even though summer is over, you still have a chance to get yourself some local produce! Walking around at these places can also add to your physical activity for the day.

Try a new fall recipe

After you check out the apple orchard or farmers market, try out a new recipe with the items that you purchased. Trying new recipes can be fun, and can help you to incorporate more healthy items into your meals.

Run a fall 5K

During the fall there are many road races that are open for registrants. To help yourself stay active, tie up those tennis shoes and sign up for a local 5K or marathon. Check out a corn maze

Looking for something active to do as a family, couple, or large group? Test out your teamwork and directional skills by weaving your way through a corn maze. The walking will add some extra steps in your day and can be an entertaining activity to do with others. You may even get a little lost along the way!

Take in the scenery

Take a stroll to check out the beautiful fall colors. This is a great way to relieve some stress and take in the beauty of the season.

These are just some of the many fall-friendly activities that you can try. Get out and enjoy the changing colors, weather, and activities of fall!

Be Well,

Sarah.
