August Move of the Month

This month is a twofer!  Give squats AND lunges a try this August.

SQUAT

Begin standing with your feet slightly wider than hip-width apart, arms at your sides (or holding dumbbells/the ends of a resistance band in your hands). Bend your knees and lower your body down until your reach a 90 degree angle from the floor. While pushing through your heels raise your body back up to starting position.

LUNGE

Stand with feet together, arms at your sides. Step forward with your left leg, shifting your weight onto the left leg and lower until your left thigh is parallel to the ground. Push through your heel and return to standing position. Repeat move on the other leg.
