I am notorious for getting into the same routine with food - I think some of you can relate! I typically wouldn’t bat an eye if I ate the same thing for lunch for a month. However, for whatever reason I needed a change. I started experimenting in my kitchen. Let’s be real, not every new thing I try has the greatest outcome. There was something good that came from this round of experimentation though! Plus, it’s easy, just the way I like it! Basically, you throw a whole bunch of veggies onto a sheet pan, toss some seasoning over the top of it, bake it in the oven for about 30 minutes, and there you have it. The recipe for the seasoning came from a source called Oh She Glows. Seriously, it’s so good. more...

New recipe time! I have been experimenting with sheet pan recipes lately as an easy and quick way to get an assortment of vegetables and proteins into our dinners. My son seems to enjoy the zucchini, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, carrots, and cherry tomatoes. He isn’t so nuts about the asparagus, onions (don’t blame him), and chicken sausage but that’s ok. more...

You know that person that always seems to be able to make your favorite meals better than you can? Well, that’s my mom for me. For the most part (unless I’m feeling bold) I don’t even attempt to make certain things anymore because I can’t make them the same as my mom. This recipe though, it’s fool proof, and one that I’m proud to say I stole from my mom. Check out this super easy grilled shrimp recipe to add some variety to your summer meals on the grill. more...

My husband LOVEs gyros. Seriously, even if he’s just eaten a full meal if he finds a gyro stand he will order one and eat the whole thing. He just had one at an art festival we were at last weekend, and the week before that had one at Eau Claire’s Water St. Deli (delicious!). However, for whatever reason I just can’t get into the lamb meat, I just can’t do it. However, I found a recipe that uses ground turkey that I think will go over fairly well with my family! more...
