you do not need a referral from your primary care provider to obtain specialty care,
as long as you stay within the GHC provider network. |

There are some situations in which you are required to get authorization from GHC prior to medical services.
These requirements are detailed in our Authorization Guidelines.

| Your health care provider should handle your authorization for you. However, it is important that you check with
Member Services before you receive treatment if you are unsure about the status of an authorization request. |
