You know, I have to admit that one of my favorite kitchen gadgets right now is my blender.  I’ve been spending time experimenting with different ways to use it in making meals, but the smoothie always wins out as my favorite.  All I have to do for a quick meal is throw in a few ingredients, put the cover on and let the blender do all the work! 

Lately, though, I’ve been burned out on the classic strawberry and banana smoothies.  Luckily, I’ve found this fantastic fruit and vegetable smoothie that makes for a fun and healthy change of pace!

Ingredients
1  Carrot (chopped)
4  Florets of Broccoli
2  Handfuls of Spinach
1  Apple (chopped)
2  Oranges (peeled and quartered)
Orange Juice to dilute

Instructions:
1. Blend all the ingredients together in a blender, pour into a cup and enjoy!

You can change the fruit and vegetables to your preference and/or taste but this is one way of ensuring you get the portions of fruit and vegetables your body requires in one easy recipe!  Give it a try and let me know what you think!
