Looking for a new way to serve green beans this Thanksgiving? At my family gatherings, someone always brings the traditional green bean casserole. This year though, I offered to bring the vegetable dish, and I wanted to try a bit of a variation on the old standby!

This is a simple-to-make recipe (which I love!), but doesn’t skimp on the flavors.  If you’re looking to shake things up this year at the Thanksgiving dinner table – or anytime! – give this recipe a try!

Yields: 4

Ingredients:
9 ounces fresh green beans
1/3 cup vegetable broth
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
2 tablespoons butter
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions:
1. Place fresh green beans in a saucepan with vegetable broth and dill.
2. Cover; bring to a boil.
3. Separate green beans with a fork, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender.
4. Drain.
5. Stir in butter, adding salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
6. Serve and enjoy!
