As the temperatures begin to drop, nothing makes me feel warm and cozy at home more than the smell of fresh bread as it bakes. Unfortunately, I by no means consider myself a baker.  However, while I may not be able to knead and punch-down with the pros, I have a back-up plan.  I have a bread machine!

So with that thought in mind, I wanted to find a way to make nutritious bread without all of the fuss. As a result, I found this recipe on QualityHealth.com and just had to share.  So dust off your bread machines and get ready to fill your home with the fantastic smell of fresh bread!

Serves 12

Ingredients:
1 tsp lemon juice
4 tsp molasses
3/4 cups water, plus 1 tsp.
2 tsp unsalted butter
4 tsp nonfat dry milk
2 tsp dark brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/3 cups rolled oats
2 cups bread flour
1-1/2 tsp active dry yeast

Instructions:
All ingredients are measured for a small loaf and should be at room temperature.
1. Add ingredients in order specified for your bread machine.
2. Set on standard setting, medium or normal baking cycle. Do not use programmable timer.
